Tanning Bison Hide

Buffalo Bridge is a group that gathers each winter to help make use of the bison carcasses. They will scavenge organs from the carcasses and take anything given to them, including bison hides. Once gifted a hide, they will flesh then stretch the hide before tanning it. They'll mix together a pork brain slurry, then work it into the hide by stretching it gradually while walking on it. After about 5-6 rounds of brain application it should be soft enough to be smoked and cured.
