The light was so fantastic at The General Lewis Inn in Lewisburg, West Virginia that I just parked myself in one place and waited for the magic to happen in the best light. Fortunately Sarah and her bridal party kept landing themselves in front of the gorgeous window light. Also fortunate for me was that they are all such beautiful and genuine people.
Moments like this are rare but if I see them developing, which I'm trained to do, I will anticipate the best place to be to not only to capture the moment but to capture it well. Light is huge when things like this happen so having shot with it all morning, I was ready to take the perfect shot when the maid of honor touched her hand to the bride's face in a gesture of love.
This was my first time shooting a wedding at the General Lewis Inn. I was a little nervous that I might struggle without the giant mountains we have in Montana, but the light was wonderful and the emotion of the attendees made my job easy.
