Nicole + Phil’s Red Lodge Wedding

Nicole wanted snow at her wedding so she scheduled Red Lodge on the first of April (no joke!) and she wasn’t disappointed. Montana got hammered with winter weather the week prior and at least a foot of it landed in Red Lodge. This meant we had to get creative with portraits as we couldn’t very well wade through 3′ of snow, but I love the results we got. We even sneaked out after dark for some falling snow in the twinkle lights.
For what I expect to be the only time in my life, I uttered this line at Nicole and Phil’s wedding: “the knitters were also the best dancers!” At a wedding of math majors, dentists, and knitters, I wasn’t sure how the dance floor would shake out, but I was pleasantly surprised. DJ Benefit kept things going and even mixed in some traditional Armenian music to accompany all the Armenian brandy being passed around. Nicole and Phil’s wedding was relaxed, fun, and bursting with happiness, which is the best kind of wedding. I think you’ll see the vibe when you see Nicole’s smile throughout the slideshow. 🙂
