Kate and Alex’s Flathead Valley wedding was a dream for a documentary photographer like myself. We started early at their place with a dog walk with Lucy to the nearby Whitefish River (and coffee shop) before moving to their venue, the Somers Mansion. The mansion is still in the midst of a remodel, but the event space is complete and gorgeous. Late in the evening, after their costume change and bubble exit, we moved just down the road for the after party at Del’s Bar and Grill.
A couple of highlights for me included Alex’s emotion towards Kate during their first look and vows, their pretty ridiculous dance to open the dance floor (they both rolled around on the ground – it’s in the slideshow), dessert from Sweet Peaks Ice Cream, and late night mini golf at Del’s.
