When Heather and Adam reached out with their surprise wedding proposal, I had the same questions as you. Who’s being surprised? Why? You really don’t know anything?
It turns out everyone knew the wedding was happening, it’s just the couple knew none of the details as their friends and family planned nearly everything. On the morning of the wedding, the guest list was texted with the ceremony location and the couple found out when they walked outside to their decorated transportation, which had programs sitting on the front seats. Heather and Adam chose this wedding as they wanted to get married but didn’t want to deal with any of the planning. Their friends and family saw the value in a larger wedding so offered to make it happen for them.
This wedding was as fun as it sounds and I think Heather’s gigantic smile all day showed how they felt about it, too. It was the perfect fit for my photojournalistic style as I never really know what’s coming, but this time I had the bride and groom along with me.
