Corey + Scott’s Victor, Idaho Wedding Photography

Corey and Scott met while attending Montana State in Bozeman, so their first choice was to have their wedding in Montana. But they just couldn’t find the right venue, so they expanded their search to Idaho and found exactly what they were looking for in Victor, just on the border of the Tetons. I knew when they booked me that a high mountain wedding in early October could bring me what I have wanted most for years: snow. Little did I know I would have it two consecutive weekends as we had an unusual snowstorm in Missoula for Jess and Tim’s wedding, as well!

The forecast showed a potential for snow, so I crossed all my fingers and hoped with all my hope that we’d get it all. What we got was perfect: a dumping in the morning, a nice flurry during the ceremony, then goose feather flakes again just after dark. It wasn’t enough to ruin anyone’s travel plans, but enough to make for some great photos.

Two days later Corey, Scott, their dogs, and I went out for a day after session, as well, which afforded us time to get photos in front of the Tetons during a warmer time.

This was such a fantastic wedding to cap the season off. Corey and Scott were so warm and inviting, as were all their guests. They were also 100% on board with holding the wedding outside no matter how hard the snow was falling, and what is a wedding if not a little bit of an adventure?
