Ali + Mike’s Deep Creek Range Wedding

I’m going to include the story of Mike’s proposal to Ali to give some insight into who these two are and why their day was so great: “Ali and I bought land and lived in a Tipi while we built our house (no running water or electricity, had to use an outhouse etc).  The house building process took way longer and was far more challenging due to weather, site location, and typical construction delays.  When we finally completed the stressful project several years later, we toasted the accomplishment and our relationship on our first night in the house.  During our clinking of glasses, I got down on my knee and popped the question.”

Paradise Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Montana, but it’s also known for its wind. While watching the slideshow, pay attention to the billowing dresses and sideways hair to see why it’s important to be good at accepting the weather when getting married here. Aside from living extensively in a tipi in Montana, here’s the other reason I knew we were the right fit: “We’d really like to capture some of the candid moments between us and friends/family.  The formal shots are less exciting to us than capturing the little moments throughout the day.”
