Gabrielle Anwar and Shareef Malnik's Wedding Photography at the Ranch at Rock Creek in Montana was a transcendental experience for me. They and their guests were humble, gentle souls and the vows were, without question, the most touching words I've ever heard a couple speak to each other at a wedding. Gabrielle is an actress (from Burn Notice, The Tudors, and Scent of a Woman fame) so they performed their vows in a theatrical way, starting and finishing each other's sentences. My only regret was that I was the photographer and not videographer because I would love to have footage of that ceremony. The wedding was 1800's themed, as well, so the attire and vibe were spectacular and consistent with the rural Montana experience that the Ranch at Rock Creek exudes.
This image is one of my favorites from the wedding - simple, clean, yet emotional. Gabrielle had a lot of happiness during the ceremony but I think the sublety of this image shows how happy they both were and it gives a little context as to the vast mountain views afforded by this pasture site. Just after the ceremony a herd of horses were released and they ran right behind the couple, in full view of all the guests.
